Adventures in Motorcycling
During the spring of last year, I decided I needed to learn how to ride a motorcycle. After talking with many of my friends who ride, I decided to take the Basic Rider Course offered by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation. I am very glad I did.The BRC taught me a lot about riding that I probably wouldn't have learned anywhere else. If you're considering Motorcycling, definitely take a basic course. You won't regret it, and it might just save your life!
Shortly after I completed the course and got my motorcycle endorsement, I went bike shopping. Found a very slightly used Harley Davidson Street 750 for a very reasonable price. I took it out for a test drive and promptly wrecked it! I did manage to hurt myself in the process, but I ended up buying the bike anyway.
Even a year later and several hours in the saddle practicing, but I'm still no good at shifting gears on the bike. So, I'm currently considering trading it in on a bike with an automatic transmission. The bike I want is the Honda CTX700
